My name is Andrea and I am the mother of two beautiful (and quite active) children. I also homeschool my oldest and tutor English on the side through a great company that you can check out on my Vipkid page. It is a lot to juggle sometimes!
I have a wonderful, supportive husband of thirteen years. His favorite question has always been, “What’s for dinner?” When we first married the answer was often some form of hamburger helper. Haven’t we all been there? What a good sport my husband was!
Over the years I discovered how much I love to cook and try new recipes! Oh how I love to eat! But then came children. Suddenly I just didn’t have time to cook the elaborate, from scratch recipes. Oh what to do? Rather than go back to the boxed dinners I decided to try my hand at adapting recipes to fit my busy schedule. I am excited to say that I have had many successes (and failures of course)! Along the way I have grown to equally enjoy finding ways to make my home more relaxing. With so many ideas out there to choose from, I hope to make it a little easier for you by showing what has worked for my family and what hasn’t. So let’s get started!
I think in the last year, most of us have had some sort of experience with homeschooling. It might have been by choice or because we had to. Maybe after it all, you were left wondering whether or not homeschooling is for your family or not. You might also be wondering what options are out […]
Summer is the time for family gatherings and backyard barbecues. I have to be honest, before COVID, I was not really a huge fan of outdoor picnics. Not that I don’t enjoy a fresh grilled burger, I just always preferred to enjoy it indoors. But over the last year, eating outdoors has kind of grown […]

Families often have recipes that are passed down from generation to generation. Sometimes those recipes are closely guarded until it is just the right time to share it. One of those recipes in my family is coleslaw. I have always loved my daddy’s coleslaw, but for years he would not give up the recipe! Fortunately, […]
If you are looking for some fun animal alphabet crafts to help practice and reinforce letters of the alphabet then you’ve come to the right place! We love making crafts in our home and we equally love animals! Using an ABC animal craft is a great way to teach letter sounds and also creates a […]
Looking for fun ways to teach upper and lowercase letters? Look no more! As a homeschool parent, I am always looking for interactive ways to reinforce concepts that they are learning. Because it is important for children to learn how to distinguish between upper and lowercase letters, I have created some fun letter activity printables […]
Don’t you love it when you fall in love with a dish at your favorite restaurant, only to return and find it off of the menu? That happens to me quite frequently, so I love to try and re-create those dishes at home. Italian happens to be one of my favorite cuisines, particularly when it […]
